Marketing Manchester
We were tasked by Marketing Manchester with the production and post production of the Maxwell Hall and ‘Culture made in Salford’ suite of films.
The videos can be viewed on a special page on the Visit Salford website – https://www.visitsalford.info/culture
Over two months we recorded a series of interviews with key people and organisations linked to Culture in Salford including Walk the Plank, Julia Fawcett OBE, Chief Executive of The Lowry, Salford Lads Club and artists at Islington Mill.
A special video was also created to look back at the iconic Maxwell Hall with Peter Hook (Joy Division and New Order) & Mike Joyce (Drummer with The Smiths).
3rd year BATAR student Matthew Robinson played a key role in the filming of the interviews for the Maxwell Hall film and post production on all of the films. Working alongside video production manager Luke Dudley, the project was a success and resulted in a set of professional and high quality films for the client.
“It was great to be able to work with Studio Salford on another project. I particularly enjoyed meeting Peter Hook and hearing first hand his stories. It was nice to have some creative freedom in the editing of the Maxwell hall video while getting to work closely with Marketing Manchester to complete all the culture in Salford films.”
Matthew Robinson, 3rd year BATAR student (The University of Salford)
“The team were professional, skilled and went out of their way to ensure that resulting suite of films were to a high quality and something to be proud of. With the project being intrinsically linked to Salford, it was important to work with a local studio and new local talent.”
